The Denver Broncos are one of the few teams in the NFL with three starting caliber running backs on the roster. Montee Ball, Ronnie Hillman, and CJ Anderson are all more than capable of handling the rock in Gary Kubiak’s offense and all three have their own reasons that make them deserving of the starting spot. All three players have been Denver’s starting running back last season while some have been more successful than others in that role.

Gary Kubiak knows a thing or two about what it takes to make a running back go from good to great. In Houston both Arian Foster and Ben Tate looked like superstar backs even though it is just Foster who maintained his level of play after parting ways with Kubiak. He also turned a veteran afterthought in Justin Forsett in to one of the rushing leaders in the NFL last season with the Baltimore Ravens.

So which of the running backs on Denver’s roster is deserving of the starting spot? Is it the high draft pick Montee Ball, the wildcard Ronnie Hillman, or the undrafted back who took a star turn last season CJ Anderson?
