There are many great wide receivers in the NFL today as the league has evolved to value dynamic play-makers on the outside more with each passing season. However, not many teams possess two legitimate superstars at the wide receiver position. The teams that do are truly blessed and because of that I wanted to rank the top-five duos in the league right now.

To be an elite duo of wide receivers both players need to Pro Bowl-caliber talents and it helps if the two play a different style of receiver. That makes their offense more diverse and overall more dangerous. The duos on this list are just that and they should be fun to watch for the entirety of the 2015 NFL season.

For the purposes of this list I did not include tight ends, although we all know they can–in today’s game–be incredibly dangerous receivers. I chose to focus on duos of strictly wide receivers when creating this top-five list.

I looked at last year’s production as the main factor in this ranking, but I am also considering potential production for this fall. That said, there are some potentially great duos that could put up huge numbers this fall and change this list considerably.

It shouldn’t shock people that many of these duos feature great quarterbacks leading their teams. It’s kind of a ‘chicken and the egg’ situation — does a great wide receiver duo make a quarterback or does a great quarterback make a great wide receiver duo?

Either way, these 12 wide receivers will be some of the most interesting players to keep an eye on throughout the upcoming season.

Does your team feature one of the top-six wide receiver duos in the NFL right now?
