If there’s one thing that’s a lot of people’s guilty pleasure, it’s reality television. Me personally, I don’t mind reality TV, but one thing I do love is football.

Thankfully, the good folks over at HBO created NFL Hard Knocks, which gives viewers complete access of a team as they go through the preseason. Hard Knocks is probably the realist reality-TV show there is (I know that’s not saying a whole lot).

We’ve seen players get injured, rookies become starters and even players getting cut and traded.

Although numerous teams — including the New York Giants and New England Patriots — were rumored to be candidates for the HBO special, ESPN’s Tania Ganguli reported Wednesday that the Texans will be the next team to appear on Hard Knocks.

The Texans are the NFL’s newest team, having come into the league as an expansion team in 2002. Since their debut, the team has managed to make the playoffs twice.

Finally, fans will have an opportunity to learn more about the NFL’s youngest team, and it’ll happen in the best possible way. Except, of course, for winning a Super Bowl.
