Since it is just the second week of the NFL season, the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles aren’t in “must-win” situations, but this is a big game for each team for varying reasons.

The Cowboys without Dez Bryant really need this win for that simple reason. With some tough teams on the schedule as Bryant begins the healing process of his surgically repaired foot after breaking a bone in Week 1, all wins until then will be huge for the reigning NFC East champions.

The Eagles can ill afford to lose two consecutive games to start the season in the City of Brotherly Love with all the offseason hype they had with the signing of DeMarco Murray and the trade for starting quarterback Nick Foles and linebacker Kiko Alonso.

With Philadelphia, if they were to fall to 0-2 to start the year, fans and most likely the Philadelphia media, and even some in the national media, would be all over him. (I can hear Stephen A. Smith now on “First Take,” being he is a former Philadelphia newspaper columnist).

There is a lot that can happen in the Week 2 contest between these two bitter rivals. The game is set for a 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff on FOX, though the Cowboys are the underdog in the game (a five-point underdog), which is being played in Philadelphia.

As all of that is big for this upcoming game, here are “5 Bold Predictions” for the Week 2 game.
