Has a team that’s 2-0 to start an NFL season ever felt so terrible and been in such dire need of a player to step in and take control?

That’s what is currently going on with the Dallas Cowboys. They are 2-0 to start the season, but in those two wins against NFC East rivals, they have seen two of their best players fall victim to tough injuries, ones that will keep them sidelined from anywhere to a month or two months, depending on who you listen to.

Considering those two players are starting quarterback Tony Romo and starting wide receiver Dez Bryant, tough times are ahead for the Cowboys. Though all isn’t lost on this season, the road to returning to the playoffs will be rougher than expected.

The game from Week 2, a 20-10 win against the Eagles, showed how the Cowboys have some problems against a pass rush, still can’t rush the football like they needed, and like mentioned earlier, they have to overcome major injuries.

Troy Aikman said it best in the fourth quarter Sunday on the FOX broadcast: “This has been a terrible game to watch.”

Next on the schedule is a home game at AT&T Stadium against the Atlanta Falcons, who are also 2-0, so the Cowboys have to regroup and move on. Before we move on, though, here are three takeaways from the win against the Eagles.
