What looked like a great and celebratory day ahead when the Cowboys led 28-14 at the half ended up being a day looking for more than a few answers with the Cowboys losing 39-28 to the visiting Atlanta Falcons.

There were some very good positives for the Cowboys in this game with the team showing the offense can still produce with their running game without two of the best players on the roster, but there were also negatives showing the glaring needs of the team as well.

All of the positives of the first half, and the negatives of the final 30 minutes, ended up in the first losing effort of the season for the Cowboys, but still leaving some hope as the Cowboys patiently await the return of their starting quarterback and best wide receiver.

Here are 5 takeaways from the Cowboys’ loss to the Falcons from Sunday.
