The Philadelphia Eagles defense has surprisingly turned into one of the best units in the National Football League.

If you are a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, you think of being let down and how you wish the defense was better.

Not this year.

You may still get let down, but the defense is finally a legitimate defense in the NFL.

On Monday Night Football, against the New York Giants, the Philadelphia Eagles put on a defensive clinic all night. The Giants scored on the first drive of the game and that was it. The Eagles defense was flying around and looked like they were ready to take the next step as a unit. They played so good that they looked like they were a Super Bowl caliber defense.

The Philadelphia Eagles defense was not supposed to be this good, or was it? Chip Kelly assembled this defense and many questioned his choices, but Chip Kelly knew what he was doing.

Kelly put his faith in his defensive coordinator Billy Davis even when all of Philadelphia did not.

Davis has delivered. The Philadelphia Eagles defense has delivered.

There are five players who have been a huge part in the Philadelphia Eagles defensive turnaround and here they are in order of their importance on making the defense special.
