Taking a look at which two teams will be squaring off on Sunday Night Football in NFL Week 6

The classic AFC South rivalry between the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans hits the prime time lights of Sunday Night Football this week. The Colts are coming off a win last week over the Chicago Bears to the final tune of 29-23. The Texans, on the other hand, are coming off a meltdown of a loss to the Minnesota Vikings to a final score of 31-13.

The Texans will welcome the Colts to their home crowd with hopes they will bounce back from such an embarrassing loss. Just after the quarter mark of the regular season, fans and analysts of the Texans are wondering if they overpaid for quarterback Brock Osweiler.

While he’s shown signs of brilliance, he hasn’t exactly been that X-factor kind of quarterback everyone envisioned him to be. The Texans’ offense isn’t clicking on all cylinders as the Vikings’ defense easily contained him and all their weapons.

On the other side of the spectrum, the Colts feature quarterback Andrew Luck who has once again been thrown into the front seat to carry this team to victory. While he’s still in the upper tier of quarterbacks so far this season, the truth of the matter is the play of his offensive line has been inconsistent. The Colts are putting way too much pressure on his shoulders to win football games and he won’t last long until they give him a better offensive balance with a ground game.

This should be another great AFC South matchup featuring two teams that are early favorites to battle it out for tops in the division. The upper hand might go with the Colts in this matchup since the Texans are without star defensive end, J.J. Watt. He’ll be out for the rest of the season due to a severe back injury.

This game will more than likely be an offensive shootout that could come down to the wire. If the Texans’ offense can regain some of their early season offensive magic, they might pull the upset. If Colts’ head coach Chuck Pagano can continue their momentum from their win last week, expect to see them come out on top as it might be too much for the Texans to overcome such a huge loss last week.

Kickoff is at 8:25 p.m. ET on Sunday, Oct. 16 and will be televised on NBC. Overall, this should hopefully be an entertaining game between two teams trying to move up within their own division. Especially for the Texans who need something, anything, to prove their critics wrong when they invested so much money in Osweiler to be their franchise quarterback.
