It’s Week 7 and if your fantasy football team is in trouble, there’s still time to rebound. We will show you how with these 5 Must-Plays.

Fantasy football players sometimes need to be reminded that this is just that—a fantasy. However, the implications and feelings of fans is often quite real. That’s why we’re here to offer advice. Each Sunday morning we present our five best fantasy picks at quarterback, running back, wide receiver, tight end and defense/special teams.

We don’t have some magical algorithm or sorcery to make these picks. It’s all based on statistical history for both a player and their matchup.

Onward and good luck the rest of the season. We’re here to help, starting with the quarterback position:

Quarterback: Philip Rivers (vs. Atlanta Falcons)

Dating back to the early stages of 2015, the San Diego Chargers are just 4-14 in their last 18 contests. Mike McCoy’s club is off to a 2-4 start this year but are coming off a 21-13 victory over the defending Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos.

But that record is insignificant when it comes to the fantasy implications. And it’s hard not to lean towards Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers when he gets the chance to face a very generous defensive unit.

Despite the fact that he doesn’t have key targets such as Keenan Allen and Danny Woodhead these days, he’s still completing 67.2 percent of his throws this season. Rivers has thrown for 300-plus yards three times and has four times as many touchdown passes (12) as interceptions (3).

Add in the fact that he’s facing an Atlanta Falcons squad that is giving up 285.3 yards per game through the air and has surrendered 14 scores through the air in six games and Rivers is hard to pass up this weekend.

Both of these teams are giving up more than 25 points per game. That adds up to yet another wild tilt at the Georgia Dome with plenty of offensive numbers for all.
