Newly extended Los Angeles Rams head coach Jeff Fisher was having a little bit of trouble challenging a ruling, mostly because he couldn’t locate his flag.

Jokes about Los Angeles Rams head coach Jeff Fisher are always prevalent. He really brings it on himself with his relatively boneheaded decisions and perpetual 7-9 and 8-8 seasons. Those jokes were in full force on Sunday morning after it was announced that the coach had signed a two-year extension with LA while his team entered Week 13 at 4-7.

But if the jokes were already out there flying following the extension, things only got worse for the head coach. Matching up against Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots, Fisher didn’t like the ruling of a play early in the third quarter. Subsequently, he did what any good coach would do as he went to challenge the play. All was well to that point.

However, it quickly took a turn for the hilarious when Fisher went to throw his red challenge flag. As he reached in his pocket for it, the Rams head coach couldn’t locate his flag. In the process, he looked like a complete bumbling buffoon trying to find it and laughs were had by everyone:

He has to be trolling everyone, right? There’s no way the most scrutinized coach in the NFL could seriously not find his challenge flag.

This is nearing closer and closer to an exercise in NFL absurdism. People have long doubted his abilities as a coach, but now he’s out here looking completely clueless for everyone to see. Two-year extension and all, this is just a day in the life of Fisher I suppose.
