The Atlanta Falcons new home on their quest to redeem themselves will make the grass greener in 2017 and for years to come.

Sometimes all a person needs to feel better is a breath of fresh air or a change of scenery. Fortunately, the Atlanta Falcons will get both in the 2017 NFL season as they play in their new home, Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The new eco-friendly stadium, which is seeking Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum Designation, is equipped with thousands of solar panels, electric car charging stations, a storm vault that is designed to catch rainwater and prevent flooding, and landscaping that’s edible — yes, it’s edible! The new venue will benefit Atlanta and surely help the Falcons improve sustainability throughout all four quarters of the 2017 NFL season. (All features as reported by Falcons Wire of USA Today.)

The features within Mercedes-Benz Stadium won’t put more points on the board, eliminate fatigue or injuries, guarantee that the team will sustain its leads, and won’t actually revive the Falcons if they choke or collapse. However, the theories behind the features will.

Just as all living things depend on basic needs such as oxygen, fresh water, and sunlight for life, Mercedes-Benz Stadium will rely on these resources for energy and sustainability. These resources will power the stadium for several years to come because they are renewable; meaning they can be used repeatedly but remain effective because they’re replaced naturally and quickly.

Similarly, frachise organizations rely on players with the ability to make a longlasting positive impact in the team environment with skills and traits that last just as long and not easily depleted. Skillful individuals with sharp instincts that can going beyond their primary roles and achieve longevity and success while continuously evolving with the game. The Falcons must evolve as they forge their way into a new home and new stadium following their Super Bowl collapse against the New England Patriots.

The grass wasn’t greener on the other side of halftime for the Altanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI, but surely will be for many years to come at their new home thanks to it’s reliance on renewable energy and various features. That’s quite the feat and a great look for the organization as they aim to return to the top of the NFC and NFL.
