Washington Redskins: Jamison Crowder set to shine in Year 3

Washington Redskins wide receiver Jamison Crowder signed his contract two years ago and hasn’t looked back.
Two years after signing his rookie contract, Jamison Crowder is still a major part of the Washington Redskins receiving corps. In 2015, his first season with the Redskins, Crowder caught 59 passes for 604 yards and two touchdowns. The following year he caught 67 balls for 847 yards and seven touchdowns. He also has a total of 486 yards on punt returns.
With the additions of talent like Terrelle Pryor Sr., Brian Quick, and a healthy Josh Doctson, Crowder shouldn’t be worried about what role he plays in the offensive scheme. He’s shown the value he brings to the team. The talent surrounding him now can only enhance his chances at an even better season.
According to ESPN’s John Keim, Crowder feels like the Redskins offense can be “explosive”:

"“It can still be very explosive, like the previous years I’ve been here…Pryor put up big numbers with the Browns, and Doctson, everyone is anxious to see what he brings to the table. I have faith in him that he’ll be a huge weapon, and Jordan Reed and [tight end]Vernon Davis. The offense can still be explosive, if not more than it was last year.”"
Crowder was a No. 3 receiver behind former Redskins receivers Pierre Garcon and DeSean Jackson. Now they’re gone, which puts him at the top of the list. While many are expecting big things out of Pryor and Doctson, Crowder pays dividends.
Many are already speculating he’ll have a 1,000-yard season. CSN Mid-Atlantic’s J.P. Finley reported May 5 that head coach Jay Gruden is going to give Crowder all the business he can handle for the 2017 season:
"“He’ll be inside when we go three receivers, for sure,” coach Jay Gruden said. “When we go two receivers, we’ll mix-and-match however we do it. We’re going to try to keep him on the field as much as possible.”"

If Jamison Crowder gets quality playing time, he’ll be a 1,000-yard receiver. He’s got great hands and is one of Cousins’ favorite targets. With Jackson out of the mix, he could be the explosive playmaker that this offense needs to stay near the top of the league, which could mean a big year.
