Before the Atlanta Falcons take on the Carolina Panthers in Week 11, here are three Falcons players that are going to have to step up and shine in the game.

The Atlanta Falcons head into the 11th week of the 2019 NFL season after putting together one of the more impressive and surprising performances last Sunday afternoon. The Falcons broke their lengthy losing streak when they picked up a big 26-9 victory over the New Orleans Saints in the Week 10 slate of games, also ending the Saints’ long winning streak in the process.

In the game, Atlanta marched into New Orleans and topped one of the more dominant teams in the NFC and all of the NFL, holding the Saints without a touchdown en route to the victory. After maintaining a 13-6 lead going into halftime of the game on the road, the Falcons outscored the Saints 13-3 in the second half of last weekend’s win while putting up 13 points down the stretch to seal the deal and end their losing streak.

With the win, the Falcons saw their six-game streak of losses come to a close while improving to 2-7 overall on the year. Atlanta is still near the bottom of the NFC and in the league in general, also sitting in last place in the NFC South standings behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-6 overall), Carolina Panthers (5-4) and the Saints (7-2) atop the division.

Along with the win, the Falcons snapped New Orleans’ six-game winning streak, although the Saints still remain atop the NFC South going into Week 11 this weekend.

On Sunday in Week 11 of the regular season, Atlanta will take on yet another divisional opponent on the road when it travels to square off against the Panthers on Sunday afternoon in Carolina.

With the Falcons looking to grab their third win of the year and maybe even grabbing another big divisional victory for the second straight week, the Panthers will come into the game hungry after falling to a tough Green Bay Packers squad last Sunday in Week 10.

Carolina enters the matchup against Atlanta at 5-4 overall this season, most recently losing to the Packers in Green Bay last weekend 24-16 after failing to score a game-tying touchdown late in the fourth quarter to fall for the third time in four contests.

The Panthers sit second in the NFC South standings, trailing only the Saints while sitting in front of the Buccaneers and Falcons in the division.

Before Atlanta travels to Carolina to try and grab its second win in a row this season, let’s look at three players that will have to step up and shine for the Falcons in order to accomplish that feat.
