Julius Thomas, @Oak – He’s been pretty quite the last few weeks. Since weeks five and six when he scored four touchdowns he has only scored one. Call it a hunch but I think Peyton gets him back involved this week.

Travis Kelce, @Buf – Buffalo may not be giving up a bunch of points to tight ends so far this season but sometimes they do. That’s enough for me. I like Kelce and the chemistry he seems to have with quarterback Alex Smith. He’s a threat to score every week and since the Bills play receivers pretty well Kelce may as well be the guy who gets the majority of the red zone work this week.

Larry Donnell, @Sea – If there is anything, I mean anything that the Giants may get going this week it’ll be Donnell.

Heath Miller, @NYJ – Gronkowski is on a bye. Why not use a guy who’s in an offense who’s averaging over 30 points scored the last four games. Also, the Jets currently give up the second most points to tight ends. Just saying.

Tight Ends to Die With:

Zach Ertz, vsCar – I can’t explain it either. He hasn’t been the fantasy monster we were expecting. Carlina covers the tight end pretty well so I am out on him. I was super, super high on him earlier this season but even I have my limits. He’s droppable in standard formats.

Charles Clay, @Det – I know what you’re trying to do. You have Dwayne Allen or Gronk on a bye and you thought you were sneaky snagging Clay a week ago. He has two touchdowns in three weeks but they are his only two touchdowns this season. He could score for you, but he could also not be targeted this week.
