The NFL’s 10 Coldest Teams

We are beginning with the coldest teams because you’re supposed to save the best for last, right?

10. New York Jets:

The New York Jets are coming off a victory over Pittsburgh, but they’re still 1-4 in their last five contests. Not to mention they’re alone in last place in the AFC East and have amassed -91 net points this season. They’re 29th in the league in scoring for the entire season and still haven’t found their future quarterback. The Geno Smith experiment seems to have fallen flat already.

9. San Diego Chargers:

The Chargers began the year 5-1 and quarterback Philip Rivers was looking like an MVP candidate. But now the team has lost three straight games and he’s thrown six interceptions in those three games. They’re in third place in the AFC West and they scored zero points last week against the Dolphins in a 37-0 drubbing.

8. Houston Texans:

Houston began the year 3-1 and many thought the Texans were going to rise again in the AFC. But since they are 1-4 and can’t put any success together. They’re still in second place in a very weak AFC South, but they’re already seemingly out of playoff contention. Even J.J. Watt and all of his highlight reel plays can’t push this team to victory with consistency.

7. Tennessee Titans:

The Titans are already on their second significant losing streak of the 2014 NFL season. Earlier in the year they lost four games in a row and they’re currently riding a three-game losing streak. They sit in third place in the AFC South and they can’t really get anything going as a team. Their net -79 points on the year tells you everything you need to know.

6. Jacksonville Jaguars:

The third consecutive team on this this list from the AFC South (the NFL’s weakest division) is the Jaguars. They, like the Titans, are riding a three-game losing skid, but they put together an even more ‘impressive’ losing streak earlier in the year, too. The Jags lost six straight to start the season. Blake Bortles is young so he gets a pass, but his turnovers (14 INTs versus only 8 TDs) have killed this team which sits in last place.
