The NFL’s 10 Hottest Teams
No teams in the NFL are currently playing better ball than these 10 teams. These are the teams that have the stuff (and momentum) to make a run at the Super Bowl.
10. Dallas Cowboys:
The Cowboys were the hottest team in the NFL from Week 2 to Week 7, but they’re still steaming enough to crack this list. They’re 3-2 over their last five games and boast an MVP candidate running back in DeMarco Murray (nine 100-yard games in 10 contests this year). Their recent two-game skid has dropped them to second place in the NFC East, but they’re right in the thick of the division race.
9. Seattle Seahawks:
Seattle lost back-to-back games in mid-October, but have bounced back with a three-game winning streak. Although, the Seahawks’ opponents in this winning streak haven’t been overly impressive (Panthers, Raiders, Giants) you do have to play who is on your schedule. At 6-3 they sit in second place in the NFC West.

8. Indianapolis Colts:
The Indianapolis Colts sit atop the weak AFC South with a record of 6-3 after beginning the year 0-2. They’re 4-1 in their last five games and previously put together a five-game winning streak from Week 3 to Week 7. Quarterback Andrew Luck is putting together an amazing season and is second in the NFL with 26 touchdown passes. This team’s arrow is pointing straight up.
7. Denver Broncos:
The Broncos are in first place in the very competitive AFC West. They have won five of their last six games and are leading the NFL with 84 net points. Quarterback Peyton Manning is putting together another MVP caliber season with a league leading 29 touchdown passes and only seven interceptions. This is an extremely dangerous team that’s looking to get back to the Super Bowl.
6. Green Bay Packers:
Green Bay is sitting in second place of the very competitive NFC North (a game behind Detroit). At one point the Packers were 1-2 and some were writing them off. Then they went on a tear going 5-1 in their last six contests. The Packers’ latest win came last week as they defeated the Bears 55-14 at Lambeau Field. Aaron Rodgers leads the NFL with a 120.1 quarterback rating and has thrown 25 touchdowns versus only three interceptions.
