2. New York Giants Fans

The Giants fan base has been tortured in a few ways this season. First, they thought they could possibly be a contender, but then began the year 0-2. Although, they won their next three games and seemed to be a threat again at 3-2. Then came the downfall. A 27-0 loss to the Eagles sent the Giants’ season into a tailspin.

After throwing four interceptions in the first two weeks Eli Manning threw only two picks over a seven-game stretch. Now that’s quite impressive. Then came last week’s meltdown (1 TD, 5 INTs). Giants fans have enjoyed a lot of success in recent years, so it’s not like they’re a perpetually disappointed bunch. But that certainly doesn’t make them feel better about this year. Maybe that extra drink will do the trick.

1. Chicago Bears Fans

Yes the Bears are coming off a win, but that doesn’t rectify what has been an abysmal 2014 so far. Did you talk to a Chicagoan in August? If so you heard about how A. their offense is going to be the best in the league and B. They’re going to win the Super Bowl. At 4-6 in a tough NFC North division their playoff hopes are dashed and their Super Bowl hopes along with it. Their back-to-back losses in which they gave up 50 points (51-23 to the Patriots and 55-55-14 to the Packers) before their win over the Vikings was the climax of this failure of a season.

Still the Bears fans are a proud bunch. They’re a loyal fan base, but they could really use a beer right now. Or perhaps something a little stronger. The reason why they took the top spot on this list is because they had legitimate Super Bowl aspirations. This offense should have been one of the best in the league. Instead Jay Cutler has thrown 12 interceptions in just 10 games and Matt Forte has run for only three touchdowns on the season. 2014 is a year to forget in Chicago, but hey there’s always next year!
