Benardrick McKinney

This is the absolute biggest and broadest middle-linebacker in the 2015 draft. He made a big name for himself this year, especially when the Bulldogs were ranked number one in the nation back in November.

McKinney has shown himself as a disciplined player on the field. He never looks like he’s out of position on the field.

However, he lacks some closing speed. He isn’t the first guy to reach the ball carrier a lot of the time. When he is, he tends to make a mistake. Click here and watch the first play of the video.

In that play he noticed the QB take off and gave himself time to make a big play for his defense, but he over ran the runner and could barely dive for the ankles. He over ran the play.

This is something coaches can work on with him once he is drafted to the team. He’s mostly appealing because he has good field vision combined with a knack for the position.

Still, he has work to do in his pass coverage and line of pursuit. When all of that comes together he will be a Pro Bowl middle-linebacker in the NFL.
