While watching some film on these and other linebackers one guy stood out as quite possibly the absolute best draft pick based on value.

Ryan probably won’t sneak up anyone’s draft board. Like they say, he is what they say he is.

They say he’s great inside, especially against the run. A real monster if you’re a running back in the Big 10. He has great leadership and showed it on and off the field.

He also proved is toughness and reliability when he came back late in the 2013 season after tearing his ACL in the spring before.

His negatives are all in the passing game. He doesn’t cover tight ends well.. He doesn’t cover wide receivers well.. He doesn’t cover running backs catching the ball out the backfield.. Blah, Blah, Blah.

He’s got a good look. He’s great on the field as well as in front of a microphone. He”s the all American kid, good-looking and really good at football.

If the Bears lose out on one or two of those other guys.. Well, let’s just say drafting Jake Ryan in the middle of the 2015 draft might just be the steal of the draft this year.

When this kid is given the opportunity he will be one of the better defensive players coming into the NFL in 2015.

You’re new coach is just going to have to teach him how to play zone coverage.
