Jake Locker was drafted with the eighth overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, and the Tennessee Titans were expecting him to be a star. Unfortunately, injuries have completely ruined his career and the Titans are moving forward with Zach Mettenberger as their starting quarterback in 2015.
Despite all of the injury concerns, Locker is expected to garner plenty of interest on the free agent market. He will likely be signed as a backup quarterback, but there is a chance a team could sign him with the hopes that he could turn his career back around. Locker still has the talent that he had when he was drafted, but the injury concerns will haunt him for the rest of his career.
During the 2014 season, Locker ended up playing in just seven games. He ended up throwing for 993 yards, five touchdowns, and seven interceptions.
At just 26 years of age, there is still hope that he can turn things around. Some team will be willing to give him a deal to see if he can make that happen, but he will likely have to agree to a deal as a backup before that time comes.
