8. Michael Vick, New York Jets
The New York Jets are going to let veteran quarterback Michael Vick test the free agent market this offseason, and he will likely end up signing elsewhere. There isn’t much of a chance that he will land a starting job, but he still believes that he is capable of starting each week. Plenty of teams would be interested in signing him as a backup, but it will all depend on what type of money he is searching to get.
During the 2014 season, Vick ended up playing in 10 regular season games. He threw for 604 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions in those games, and also picked up 153 yards on the ground.
Vick still has plenty of football left in him, but his starting days are likely long gone. It would be intriguing to see the Cleveland Browns pick him up and plug him in as their starting quarterback, but outside of that there aren’t too many teams that he would have a chance to start on.
That being said, he is going to get another deal and will be on some teams roster in 2015. He is too talented to go without a contract offer. It will be interesting to see if he can find a team that will give him a chance to earn some playing time.
