6. Shaun Hill, St. Louis Rams

The St. Louis Rams weren’t a pushover football team this past year, and part of that had to do with the play of veteran quarterback Shaun Hill. After starting quarterback Sam Bradford went down with his second torn ACL in as many seasons, the Rams were down to Hill and rookie quarterback Austin Davis on the roster.

Davis actually started a good chunk of the games, but Hill finished the season and showed some flashes of being a solid option under center. He totaled 1,657 yards, eight touchdowns, and seven interceptions throughout the course of the 2014 season.

Plenty of teams have a need for a quarterback that has some experience under his belt, and that will get Hill a job. It wouldn’t be surprising to see the Rams re-sign him in case Bradford can’t stay healthy next season, but there will be other teams that will be interested as well. At 35 years of age, Hill still has a couple good years of football left in him before he hangs up the cleats.

Hill is likely going to get a new deal this offseason to be a quality backup once again in 2015.
