One of the biggest trades this offseason was the Bears trading wide receiver Brandon Marshall to the New York Jets. The move to trade Marshall ended one of the better wide receiver duos in the NFL with Marshall and Alshon Jeffery. Just because the Bears decided to trade Marshall, doesn’t mean that they don’t want to have a great duo at wide receiver, and Amari Cooper could fill that spot left by Marshall.

In his junior season at Alabama, Cooper would take the SEC by storm with a fantastic year. The Biletnikoff Award winner, totaled 124 receptions, 1727 yards, and 16 touchdowns. Before the NFL Combine, Cooper figured to be the first wide receiver taken, but West Virginia’s Kevin White has impressed a lot, and could be taken over Cooper now. White may have more upside than Cooper, but Cooper is certainly capable of being a Pro Bowl wide receiver.

Right now the Bears could certainly use an upgrade at wide receiver next to Jeffery, as Marquess Wilson is rather inexperienced, and Josh Morgan is better suited in the slot. Cooper should be ready for the NFL right away, and with Jeffery alongside him could have an impact rookie season.
