How could the guy who doesn’t hold the interception record not be in the top 30?
Paul Krause played for both the Washington Redskins and the Minnesota Vikings during the Purple People Eater days of four NFC Championships. While the guys upfront received all the attention, Krause remained the backbone of a phenomenal defense for more than a decade.
While oftentimes Krause was criticized for being too slow, his mind and football sense ruled the field.
81 career interceptions in 16 seasons is Krause’s claim to fame and will be until somebody can finally sniff the record.
