New England Patriots vs. Seattle Seahawks:
In a rematch of last years Super Bowl, the Patriots and Seahawks matchup would be great once again. It probably won’t be able to give the exact same level of excitement as last years, but these are two great teams playing each other.
If you’re a Patriots fan you know that anything can happen in a Super Bowl, just ask David Tyree, Mario Manningham, Jermaine Kearse or Malcolm Butler. So while the Patriots could win this game, the Seahawks should be a huge favorite. Offensively the Patriots might have a similar success to last year, especially if Brady can still perform on the same level as in the past years.
Defensively though they will struggle. If they focus on shutting down Lynch, the large targets that Wilson now has, especially through the addition of Jimmy Graham, will dominate the weakened Patriots secondary. The Seahawks are the best team in the NFL, as they really don’t have any really massive flaws on their team.
Their offensive line could be a bit better, their DT’s as well and their No.2 corner could still be Brandon Browner or Byron Maxwell, but this team is destined for success this year. I do believe that the NFC has a better chance of stopping them, than them losing in the Super Bowl again. If a team from the AFC can beat them in the Super Bowl, it would be the Pats, but it probably won’t happen.
Super Bowl Champion: Seattle Seahawks
These were my way to early playoff predictions based on my in-season predictions. One thing I will reiterate is that if the Patriots do not get a better seed than the Denver Broncos, then I believe that the Broncos and Peyton Manning will be headed to the Super Bowl and lose to Seattle.
