Denver Broncos @ New England Patriots:

Peyton Manning vs. Tom Brady one more time, and maybe a last time. I think Denver will win the regular season matchup, but this rematch will be in Foxboro which turns the tables,as Brady has an 8-2 record against Manning at home. A big question will be if Manning can still play on an elite level throughout an entire season.

The Broncos defense is very good, but the Patriots have shown the ability to beat up on the defense. In last years matchup the Patriots offensive line held up very well against the elite pass rush of the Broncos which allowed Brady to take apart a very good secondary. With Knighton out of the picture the running game might have more success as well.

While losing Julius Thomas was a big hit for the Broncos, Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders are one of the best wide receiver combinations in the NFL. Will Manning be able to torch the weakened secondary. Butler was put on Sanders last year, and Sanders torched him on a couple plays. Anderson is a very explosive back who could have a tough time against a strong front seven and behind a weak line.

The line will likely be a large key for the Broncos, because good play  would really help both the running and passing games success. In the end I won’t bet against Brady and the Pats at home.  If the Patriots fail to get a higher seed than the Broncos, then the Broncos are my favorite to win the AFC, otherwise I believe the Patriots will go back to the Super Bowl.

Winner: New England Patriots
