6. Nick Foles, St. Louis Rams
When the St. Louis Rams acquired quarterback Nick Foles from the Philadelphia Eagles, no one knew exactly how to react. Foles had a monster 2013 season with 27 touchdowns to two interceptions, but he was inconsistent and injured in 2014.
If Week 1 is a sign of things to come, the Rams have found their franchise quarterback.
With or without Kam Chancellor, any player who can dissect the most feared secondary in the NFL deserves hype.
Foles was 18-of-27 for 297 yards, a critical touchdown and no interceptions. He also ran the ball in from one yard out for a key rushing touchdown and fumbled the ball twice.
In the clutch, Foles completed the game-tying touchdown pass.
With perfect ball placement and mature decision-making, Foles led his team to victory. He limited his mistakes and helped the Rams upset the defending NFC champions.
Come Week 2, Foles will be tasked with leading St. Louis against his former division rivals: the Washington Redskins.
