The Bears have already traded one 4-3 defensive end turned 3-4 outside linebacker in Allen, and they should be looking to do the same with Willie Young. Similar to Allen, Young always seemed to be an odd fit for the Bears’ 3-4 defense. This is another case of a talented defensive player simply having more value to a 4-3 team.

Young is coming off of a 2014 season where he had 10 sacks. He proved his talent and upside last season, showing a wide array of pass rush moves from the outside. He has a nice combination of speed, strength and explosiveness that allows him to get consistent pressure on the quarterback.

Young is recovering from a serious Achilles injury that he suffered late last season. He has looked mobile and active in the early-going, but it is something for possible suitors to worry about.

If the Bears make Young widely available, I have a hard time thinking they will have any trouble finding a suitor. He is a younger and currently more productive player than Allen and the Bears found a home for him.

Every team could use another pass rusher, and Young would give a contender a potentially elite pass rushing option at defensive end.

Potential Fits: Atlanta Falcons, Cincinnati Bengals, Kansas City Chiefs and New York Giants.
