The Miami Dolphins weren’t able to poach C.J. Anderson away from the Denver Broncos, so they find Lamar Miller‘s replacement in the first round of this seven-round 2016 NFL Mock Draft.

After signing Mario Williams in free agency and acquiring both Byron Maxwell and Kiko Alonso, the Miami Dolphins added a trio of players to boost their defense, but they still have a few positions of need. Another defensive lineman or linebacker could be helpful, but defensive back help is paramount, even considering the signing of safety Isa Abdul-Quddus.

Ezekiel Elliott could be a centerpiece player for the Dolphins, so it wouldn’t be a surprise for them to pounce on the former Ohio State star if he’s still on the board at pick No. 13, even if there are other top options on defense like Darron Lee available.

For this seven-round mock, I used the Fanspeak simulator with Fanspeak’s big board.
