The New Orleans Saints head into the 2016 NFL Draft with six in their name. What will they do with them, and will it be enough to return to “contender” status next season?

This past season, we saw the continued decline of the New Orleans Saints. Although they enjoyed a mid-season surge that seemed to put them back in the playoff picture for a brief moment, they ended up falling apart down the stretch and finishing the season with a disappointing 7-9 record, good for third place in the NFC South.

Moving forward, the Saints need to focus on improving their 27th-ranked defense. The Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers earned trips to the Super Bowl this past season due in large part to their elite defenses, proving true the famous words that state defense wins championships. New Orleans should be focused on making upgrades on the defensive side of the ball during the 2016 NFL Draft.

So here are my predictions for how the Saints will spend their six picks when April 28 rolls around.
