The New England Patriots are armed with 11 total picks in the 2016 NFL Draft. They have forfeited their first-round selection, but hold two late second-round picks after sending Chandler Jones to the Arizona Cardinals earlier in the off season. The Patriots also have two third-round selections (their own and a compensatory selection for losing Darrelle Revis in free agency last off season).

While the Patriots do not have a first-round pick, they still have put themselves in a great position to add impact players to their roster in the first few rounds. However, being without a selection in the fourth and fifth rounds, the Patriots will have to wait a while to improve their team after their choices in the second and third rounds.

Bill Belchick and company will undoubtedly do some trading up and down the board to make their selections look different from what they do now, but we cannot bank on that at this moment. For now, the Patriots hold a stunning five sixth-round selections in the 2016 NFL Draft and two seventh-round picks.

Whether they trade a couple of these picks away or not, the Patriots are going to be prominently featured at the end of the draft. With so many shots to take, the Patriots will be in a fantastic position to take a chance on some talented late-round sleeper prospects.

Based on their style and the talent who will likely be available, I compiled a list of sleeper prospects who the Patriots should be targeting with their embarrassment of riches in the late rounds. While these are not the easiest prospects to study, the Patriots are undoubtedly going to do their due-diligence as they look to un-earth the next Malcolm Butler, Troy Brown or dare I say, Tom Brady.

With many chances to connect, they might as well swing for the fences. Here are 10 late-round sleeper prospects who the New England Patriots should target in the 2016 NFL Draft.
