2. The Dallas Cowboys sweep the New York Giants

Considering that the Cowboys have lost three consecutive matches against the G-Men, this definitely qualifies as bold. Winning one game against the vaunted New York defense will be impressive. Winning both would be astounding.

More from Dallas Cowboys

Last season, the Giants were seemingly the only team to have the Cowboys number. Of their three losses, two were against the Giants. The other? Against the Philadelphia Eagles, a game where Dallas rested most of their team for an entire half.

Sweeping a division rival is hard regardless of who it is. But the Giants team is built almost perfectly to exploit every weakness Dallas has, and to challenge every strength. Not to mention, the Giants have a new offensive weapon in Evan Engram. No one is quite sure how they plan to use him yet.

The rookies in the Cowboys’ secondary will need to step up big time to stop the Giants passing attack. The offensive line will have to play almost perfectly to slow down New York’s imposing front seven. And Prescott will have to be careful with the ball against their ball hawking secondary.

Of all the tall tasks on the list, this is the one I hope Dallas accomplishes the most. Watching the Cowboys defeat the Giants is one of the best moments of any season. It’s time to end the nearly two year drought of victories against Big Blue.
