5. Xavier Su’a-Filo, G, Houston Texans

While he proved to be a big disappointment with the team that selected him in the second round back in 2014, that doesn’t mean a change of scenery. Four years ago, UCLA’s Xavier Su’a-Filo was the 33rd overall selection in the NFL draft. He missed eight regular-season games and made only 10 starts his first two seasons in the league. Since 2016, he’s hasn’t missed a contest and has been in the opening lineup all but one contest.

But when you look at his grades on a season-by-season basis (via Pro Football Focus Edge), you see a player that has been far below average. Over the four-year span, he’s earned marks of 43.4, 42.8, 44.9 and 35.8 from 2014-17, respectively. That’s a lot of numbers. And to put that into perspective, Dallas Cowboys’ right guard Zack Martin graded out as PFF’s No. 1 player at the position at a gaudy 92.2.

So how could this 27-year old performer help John Harbaugh’s team? The Ravens’ starting guard tandem figures to be Alex Lewis and perennial Pro Bowler Marshal Yanda. But the former missed all of 2017 and the latter went down in Week 2. Baltimore’s offensive front was riddled by injuries all season and it says here that Su’a-Filo is worth a kick of the tires.
