5. Tom Brady starts to show signs of age

At this point, it’s almost a given that Tom Brady will be the best arm in the game until he calls it quits. However, despite his consistent dominance as he enters his 40s, the GOAT is going to hit the wall eventually.

Well, I think Father Time finally gets the best of him in 2018.

There’s turmoil within the New England organization. Brady’s relationship with Bill Belichick seems to be crumbling, even if it’s all smiles in front of the media. On top of that, the gunslingers’ arsenal has thinned, with Brandin Cooks gone, Rob Gronkowski mulling retirement and Julian Edelman coming off a torn ACL.

Put simply, Brady can’t carry the Patriots on his shoulders forever. Some day, he’s either going to get tired of the gig or his arm is finally going to give out on him. Either way, the grains of sand are quickly depleting in his “effective NFL quarterback” hourglass.

Now I will clarify my overall prediction here. Just because he starts to show signs of age doesn’t mean he’s going to have a bad season. Maybe it’s just a great season instead of a ridiculous season. You know how Peyton Manning suddenly hit a wall? It might not happen to that degree with Brady, but the descent will commence in 2018.

All good things must come to an end.
