Let’s take a look at the latest edition of the 2018 NFL Power Rankings now that mandatory minicamp is officially over for teams.
The conclusion of mandatory minicamp this week has football fans even more excited for the start of training camp next month since this means it will only be a matter of time before the new season is finally here. Not to mention, the end of mandatory minicamp means it’s the perfect time to release another edition of the 2018 NFL Power Rankings since there’s plenty to discuss, especially when it comes to the Atlanta Falcons.
One year after being on the wrong end of the largest comeback in Super Bowl history, all the Falcons wanted was a shot at redemption to try earning their first title in franchise history last season. And even though their dreams ended in the Divisional Round against the Philadelphia Eagles in January, Atlanta is already considered one of the top teams to make a serious run during the 2018 season.
With that being said, there seems to be a little concern over some Falcons fans over Julio Jones being absent from minicamp this week, although Matt Ryan helped calm the storm by claiming he expects his favorite wideout to attend private workouts later this summer.
Only time will tell when it comes to seeing whether Atlanta has what it takes to live up to the hype, and earn a trip to the playoffs for a third season in a row. As for where the Falcons deserve to be in the power rankings at the end of minicamp, let’s discuss some of the other teams first before jumping near the top of the list.
