Division Champions: New Orleans Saints

The Saints were actually my NFC Super Bowl pick heading into last year’s playoffs until one inexplicable missed tackle changed everything. Eagles fans have reminded me on Twitter plenty since last January. I apologize for making such an illogical prediction, banking on Drew Brees over Nick Foles. Not that I’m bitter or anything.

Moving on, I believe the Saints are another team that just keeps getting better this year. With a strong defense, which has been rare in the Drew Brees era, this team can beat anybody. On top of a potentially elite defense, Brees has the best wide receiver and running back he’s ever been matched with. Michael Thomas is a beast and Alvin Kamara looks to be the second coming of Jamaal Charles.

Make no mistake, this is a very dangerous team. The only concern is the fact that no division has more turnover than the NFC South and the Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers are no pushovers. The Falcons are another team with an explosive offense and up-and-coming defense. No one should be surprised to see them make another deep playoff run. Same goes for the Panthers. Cam Newton is a versatile MVP with a tough defense relieving him. This is a scary division.
