5. Chaz Green, Offensive Tackle

We all know Chaz Green’s name and it’s not for a good reason. Green was the 91st player taken in the 2015 NFL Draft out of Florida. His selection wasn’t met with a lot of praise from fans, but the Dallas front office felt like he had great talent — but just needed to work through some injury concerns.

That continued to be a problem in the NFL as he was hurt in 2015 and 2016 and then in 2017 when he had a shot to replace Doug Free, he again started out the season hurt.

Dallas ended up moving him to left guard and allowed him to start anyway. It wasn’t long before he gave way to Jonathan Cooper because of injuries once again. Green then became the swing tackle and was called upon during the team’s visit to Atlanta last season. It ended up being the worst game of the year.

Adrian Clayborn of the Falcons sacked Dak Prescott six times, five of which were at the expense of Green. Now he enters the 2018 season fighting for a spot on the team. Cameron Fleming is the swing tackle for Dallas and now Green just has to hope he shows enough to stay on.

The one positive he has is his ability to play both tackle and guard. However, he hasn’t been playing them well. Even if a career of injuries wasn’t enough, Green now just seems to have no confidence and it’s showing in his play. At this point, it seems likely he will be gone.
