1. Stefon Diggs, Minnesota Vikings

Anyone who has been paying attention the past few seasons can see this one coming. We’ve seen Diggs do eye-popping things on the field and have stretches, not flashes, of brilliance. For those of you wondering who the best receiver is on Minnesota, it’s Diggs. His skill-set and route tree blows Adam Thielen out of the water. That’s not a slight on Thielen, but rather a credit to Diggs.

He just got a big extension this offseason and a new quarterback in Kirk Cousins who for all intents and purposes should be a significant upgrade from Case Keenum or Sam Bradford. The big concern her with Diggs his ability to put together a 16-game season, something he’s yet to do heading into his fourth year in the league.

We’ve seen Diggs post career highs of 84 receptions (2016), 903 yards (2016) and eight touchdowns (2017). In 2016, he played just 13 games and 14 last year. If he can stay on the field for 16 games and take that next step in his development this year, he could be scary and I’ll believe he’ll do precisely that.

I expect big things from Diggs this year, the Vikings expect big things from Diggs this year and Fantasy owners should expect big things from him this year. All the signs are there and the progress has been evident. As a player he’s been getting better and now it looks like the situation has improved as well with what the team hopes is a franchise quarterback and running back starting for the offense this year. Diggs could very well be the next great NFL wideout.
