2018 NFL Picks, score predictions for Week 8
Philadelphia Eagles (3-4) at Jacksonville Jaguars (3-4)
Sunday, October 28, 9:30AM ET
The reigning champions need to start putting more notches in the win column. Otherwise, they could fall too far behind in the race for a spot in the postseason. Luckily for them, a game against the Jacksonville Jaguars leaves the door to victory wide open.
The Jaguars have been awful in recent weeks, as the offense has been nearly non-existent. Without Leonard Fournette, Blake Bortles hasn’t been able to get anything going. Even with Carlos Hyde now in town, I don’t see the Jacksonville offense suddenly figuring it out — especially against the Philadelphia defense.
So essentially, it comes down to whether or not Carson Wentz and the Eagles can create points. They haven’t lived up to expectations so far in 2018, and the lack of a consistent running game has played a big part. In this one, though, I have to imagine that Wentz stands a much better chance of putting significant points on the board than Bortles does.
Both of these teams will be desperate for a W during their trip to London. Unfortunately, only one can come away victorious. Based on what we now know about these clubs, I’m going with the Eagles in Week 8.
Prediction: Eagles win 23-13
