AFC Wild Card: Indianapolis Colts (6) at Houston Texans (3)

What a ride it has been for both of these teams in 2018. Although they came into the season with opposite outlooks, they followed a similar path to find themselves facing off for a third time this season in what should be a sweet AFC Wild Card matchup.

In one corner, we have the Texans. Coming into the season as favorites for at least a Wild Card spot, they got off to an ugly start. After stumbling out of the gates, though, Deshaun Watson, DeAndre Hopkins and the Houston defense carried the franchise to nine straight wins. Now, as winners of the AFC South, they head into the postseason with plenty of confidence.

In the other corner, we have the Colts. Not much was expected of them this season, especially after they got out to a 1-5 start. Then, Andrew Luck took charge, shouldering the load and willing his team to victory in nine of its last ten games. If you’re looking for a sleeper with plenty of momentum, you’ve found it.

So who gets the win between these two divisional rivals? I’m going with the Colts, who knocked off the Texans only a few weeks ago. Houston hobbled through the finish line, narrowly avoiding being dethroned from the top spot in the AFC South. Indianapolis will come knocking, and Luck will do just enough to secure the win and a trip to Kansas City.

Prediction: Colts defeat Texans
