NFC Wild Card: Philadelphia Eagles (6) at Chicago Bears (3)

I hate to question Nick Foles and the Eagles considering the luck they’ve had during the last two winters. However, I just can’t pick against the Chicago Bears and their dominant defense, especially in the Windy City.

Soldier Field just gives the Bears that extra edge on game day. They lost only one affair in Chicago this season, and have had some of their best performances in their historic stadium. Even with Foles and Co. coming to town, the Bears aren’t going to back down.

What this one should come down to is whether or not the Chicago offense can get going. Although they’ve been explosive at times this season, Mitchell Trubisky’s occasional inconsistency has been painful to manage. The Eagles will find ways to put points on the board, so Trubisky and the rest of the Bears offense simply has to figure out how to do their own bit of scoring.

I imagine that’ll be the case, with the Bears pulling off the win and sending the reigning champions home early. It’ll be a close game that sees the teeter tooter rock back and forth numerous times. In the end, though, Chicago gets the win at home to book themselves a trip to Los Angeles.

Prediction: Bears defeat Eagles
