2019 NFL Mock Draft: Kyler Murray climbs in Post-combine two-round projection

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Quinnen Williams, Alabama, DT
There’s a lot of talk about Gerald McCoy being on the way out with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Moving on from him would be a cost-saving move but they would need someone to fill his role in their defense.
That could happen by locking up Quinnen Williams out of Alabama. The big defensive tackle went from a nice prospect to one of the best players in the entire class with the season he put together as a junior.
The redshirt sophomore was a disruptive force as he notched 19.5 tackles for a loss and eight sacks in 2018. Displaying that kind of ability from the interior creates massive problems — which is something that we all noticed out of the Los Angeles Rams who have the best int he game at doing this in Aaron Donald.
Williams was widely considered to be in play at No. 1 overall, but the recent news that Arizona is sold on Kyler Murray ends up being a great benefit to the Bucs as they get one of the most talented players, if not the most talented, in this class. Tampa Bay will still have a lot to figure out, but new head coach Bruce Arians should get more out of the offense and adding a talent like this on defense should help shore up that side as well.
