5. Re-sign WR Dontrelle Inman

The Indianapolis Colts could certainly use some more help when it comes to their wide receiving corps. And within these pages, there may be a big-time suggestion via free agency.

More from NFL Spin Zone

Seven-year veteran T.Y. Hilton led the club with 76 catches, good for an impressive 1,270 yards (16.7 average) and six scores. And while Chester Rogers totaled 53 receptions and reached the end zone twice, he managed a mere 9.2 yards per catch.

Meanwhile, the Colts added veteran Dontrelle Inman in mid-October and he opened some eyes. He played in nine of the club’s final 10 games and amassed 28 grabs for 304 yards and three touchdowns. In the team’s two playoff games in ’18, the talented pass-catcher was targeted four times in each contest and caught all eight throws for 108 yards, scoring in the team’s 21-7 win at Houston in the wild card round.

Inman, along with one-time Redskins’ wideout Ryan Grant (35 receptions for 334 yards and one touchdown in 2018), can test the free-agent market come the afternoon of March 13. Give his play down the stretch and most notably in the postseason, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Colts’ general manager Chris Ballard to ink the one-time Chargers’ and Bears’ wide receiver to another deal.
