Round 6, Pick 180: Oli Udoh, OT, Elon

Though the Giants offensive line should be sitting pretty in terms of their starters after trading for Kevin Zeitler and then taking Risner in the second round to join Nate Solder and Will Hernandez, they need depth up front. Oli Udoh is the perfect player for that as he has all the physical tools to be a force on the offensive line.

Playing at Elon, Udoh clearly needs refinement in his footwork and technique up front for him to see the field for the New York where they can have confidence in him. Having said that, he is a strong developmental prospect that New York would be lucky to have as a backup up front on offense.

Round 7, Pick 232: Will Harris, S, Boston College

The Giants got Jabrill Peppers in the Odell Beckham Jr. trade, but they still need more bodies at safety as they look to rebuild their secondary. They get a gift in the seventh round here with Will Harris coming into their laps. The Boston College product is a versatile player that has solid coverage abilities, which he put on display at the Senior Bowl. He might not be a superstar, but he can certainly be someone capable of playing meaningful snaps on a rebuilding defense.

Round 7, Pick 245: Jamal Peters, CB, Mississippi State

Double-dipping at the cornerback position to help rebuild the defense, the Giants take a flier on Jamal Peters out of Mississippi State with their final pick of the 2019 NFL Draft. A big-bodied defensive back at 6-2, 218 pounds, he can be extremely physical and be a game-changer in defending the pass in that regard. Having said that, he needs to refine his technique in coverage to be a reliable player in the NFL. With his size, though, he’s worthy of a late-round selection.
