1. Austin Hooper, TE

On an offense that features Matt Ryan, Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley, Devonta Freeman and Mohamed Sanu, it’s pretty easy for the general public to forget about Austin Hooper. He’s not flashy or going to win someone a fantasy football title, but he is one of the most important and underrated players on the Falcons 53-man roster.

Just one year ago, Hooper entered his third NFL season and set career-highs in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns. Hooper was so valuable to this Falcons offense, he finished second on the team, behind Julio Jones, with 71 receptions. The former Stanford Cardinal spent some serious time with Matt Ryan in the offseason, and it definitely paid off big-time.

As Atlanta approaches their 2019 season, Hooper will continue to play the underrated hero in their offense. He may never have eye-opening stats or Rob Gronkowski-like highlights, but he will be one of the biggest contributors on a squad that’s hungry to get back to the NFL Playoffs.
