Grading every NFL team’s 2019 offseason

Jacksonville Jaguars
After a letdown season in 2018, the Jacksonville Jaguars finally cut their losses with former top-5 pick Blake Bortles. With him gone, they will turn to Nick Foles, who was given a big contract in free agency. He brings plenty of experience under center as well as a Super Bowl ring (and MVP award from that game). He will serve as quite the upgrade over Bortles, who just never seemed to take care of the ball the way he should.
As good as the move for Foles was, the Jags did even better in the draft. First, Josh Allen slipped to them which gives their defense a massive boost. In the second, they lucked into Jawaan Taylor who fills a massive hole at tackle. Then there was Josh Oliver who gives them a talented receiving tight end to go along with Geoff’s Swaim — an underrated free agent pick up from Dallas.
Where Jacksonville failed was by not getting another receiver, which was a huge need. They could have also used more help at running back as they only added just Alfred Blue and Thomas Rawls begins Leonard Fournette who struggles with availability and effectiveness. That’s not a great stable for a team that likes to pound the ball.
Grade: B-
