2. Ndamukong Suh, Defensive Tackle

Before the NFL Draft kicked off, free agent defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh sent out a tweet teasing that he could be considering the Dallas Cowboys or New York Giants as his next team. In the social media post, Suh posed in both a Giants and Cowboys jersey, asking if anyone liked the look of either.

This isn’t the first time the Cowboys and Suh have been linked. Before he signed his deal with the Miami Dolphins in 2015, there were rumors that Dallas could be interested. The same happened this past season after Miami released him but Suh wound up joining the Los Angeles Rams on a one-year deal.

More from Dallas Cowboys

While dots were being connected, the Cowboys really showed no interest in either occasion. Still, it seems like a good fit considering how Suh is a disruptive force as a three-technique defensive tackle and defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli’s system relies on such players for success.

Still, there hasn’t been any sign that Dallas is interested this year either and their need for an interior tackle has diminished some with the selection of Trysten Hill out of UCF. Their top draft pick this season will be in line to fight for a starting job and has the kind of burst and athleticism that Marinelli desires.

That doesn’t mean they shouldn’t consider Suh because he would be a great bridge player this year. He could start inside while Hill learns the speed of the NFL game. Already strong on the line with DeMarcus Lawrence and Robert Quinn, adding Suh would make them one of the best in the entire NFL.
