1. Jackson takes major leap at quarterback

As mentioned before, it says a lot about the confidence Baltimore has in Jackson as their quarterback moving forward if they were willing to trade Flacco to Denver, but all things considered, this was the right move.

The Ravens never would have traded back into the first round in 2018 to select Jackson if they didn’t truly believe he was talented enough to be the successor to Flacco, and after looking at his surprise impact as a rookie, the team certainly doesn’t want to hold him back.

Filling in for Flacco before going on to eventually keep the starting job was the best experience Jackson could have received as a rookie, and the early experience should work wonders for Baltimore on offense in the quarterback’s second year.

Some critics questioned early on whether Jackson’s style of play would ever be successful in the NFL, but the Ravens have to love what they see so far in their young quarterback, and he’s only going to get better with experience.

Also, Baltimore certainly deserves credit for improving the receiving corps as well this offseason since this will help Jackson in one of the best ways possible during his sophomore campaign to help the Ravens earn another trip to the playoffs, with hopefully better results.
