3. S Damarious Randall

The Browns may have pulled off the best trade in the history of the franchise when they were able to land Damarious Randall from the Green Bay Packers for quarterback DeShone Kizer and a swap of fifth and sixth round picks. They then moved him back to safety, his college position, where Randall thrived in 2018 with the Browns.

In 15 games with the orange and brown last year, Randall recorded four picks, nine passes defended, a massive 72 solo tackles and two tackles for loss. Randall became the vocal leader of the defense and would be a huge loss for the Browns to let him walk.

The problem is, however, Randall wants to be paid like a top safety in the league and the Browns may not be willing to shovel out the dough for him. Randall had a successful season, but it was his first in what had been an inconsistent career to that point; if Randall plays well in 2019, then we can return to this conversation.

He finished his 2018 campaign with a Pro Football Focus grade of 72.7 (subscription required), ranking him as an above average starter in the league.  Hopefully the Browns and Randall can agree to a price before the season starts, then they should absolutely pull the trigger.
