Marcus Mariota, Tennessee Titans

The second overall pick in 2015, Marcus Mariota has had a roller coaster ride throughout the first four seasons of his career with the Tennessee Titans. He’s found some success and at times, looks like a legitimate star. One example was their Monday Night Football win against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 9.

Mariota was 21-of-29 with 240 yards and two touchdowns, while adding another score with his legs. Then, he has games such as their Week 11 loss when he threw for just 85 yards or their Week 15 narrow win that saw him gain only 88 yards through the air.

Even more concerning has been his inability to stay healthy. He’s had to sit out critical games for Tennessee, which is what happened in Week 17 when they were facing the Indianapolis Colts with a playoff berth on the line.

Overall, Mariota is 27-28 as a starter but his injury concerns are a huge red flag. This offseason, the team even went out and added another former first-round pick to back him up as they added Ryan Tannehill in a trade with Miami. While he may not be the answer either, the fact the Titans had to make such a move shows how worried they are about Mariota.

Prediction: Tennessee and Mariota part ways in the offseason.
